Dr Goes op ESCRS Maastricht
Omdat het Goes Oogcentrum mee aan de basis lag van de smile ooglaserchirurgie in de Benelux (wij waren het eerste centrum in de Benelux om deze revolutionaire techniek toe te passen) was Dr. Goes tijdens het laatste congres van het ESCRS te Maastricht uitgenodigd samen met wereldautoriteiten op het gebied van Smile Ooglaserchirurgie, zoals professor Osama Ibrahim van de universiteit van Caïro, en Dr. Bertram Meyer uit Keulen, Duitsland, één van de grondleggers van de Smile ooglasermethode.
Tijdens een erg druk bijgewoond lunchsymposium sprak Dr. Goes over zijn jarenlange ervaring met Smile tijdens zijn voordracht ‘Why we made the switch to ‘Smile’.
Het is ondertussen al meer dan tien jaar geleden dat de eerste smile ooglaserbehandeling wereldwijd werd toegepast.
Er zijn reeds meer dan 1000 oogchirurgen die deze methode gebruiken, met meer dan 500.000 ogen wereldwijd behandeld.
