BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Sels is afkomstig uit Antwerpen, ze volgde haar opleiding geneeskunde aan de Katholieke Universiteit Leuven waar ze summa cum laude afstudeerde. Ze bekwaamde zich vervolgens verder in de Oogheelkunde in het Universitair Ziekenhuis Leuven en Torbay Hospital in Engeland. Haar bijzondere interesse gaat uit naar de diagnostiek en behandeling van netvliesaandoeningen (o.a. maculadegeneratie/diabetische retinopathie/retinale veneuze occlusies) en uveïtis. Hiervoor volgde ze bijkomende opleidingen in het Erasmus Medisch Centrum te Rotterdam en cataractchirurgie in het Maxima Medisch Centrum te Eindhoven. Naast Goesoogcentrum werkt ze als staflid in het Erasmus Universitair Medisch Centrum en ZNA Cadix.
